Keynote: 10 Years of Cloud-native Security Landscape Evolution

How the cloud native security landscape has evolved during the latest 10 years since Kubernetes was released to the world. We’ve seen a massive “shift security left” movement, incorporating security in a finer-grained, application-centric view already at the development stages. Open source adoption has multiplied, Kubernetes has become one of the most active open source projects in the world, and commoditized declarative application and infrastructure management securely in any environment, with massive enterprise adoption. Lots of complementary security innovations around Kubernetes have been developed, once and for all solving hard security problems every organization in the world is facing.

/ Lucas Käldström

Lucas is a former Kubernetes maintainer and has spoken at eight KubeCons across the world. He has been serving the Kubernetes & CNCF communities in lead positions several years in Finland and in the Nordics. Lucas has also received the “Top Cloud Native Ambassador” award by Cloud Native Computing Foundation.
