Lunch & Learn | February 8th, 2024
ENSURING THE CONTINUITY OF CENTOS WORKLOADS
Restaurant Olivia Eger, Karl Johans gt. 23, Oslo
Why do you have to react now?
CentOS Linux will reach its end of life (EOL) on June 30, 2024. This means that systems will stop receiving software updates and patches from the CentOS community.
There are many questions that have been raised by CentOS users, especially about how to ensure security and continuity of existing CentOS Linux environments without massive costs and migration projects.
At this Lunch & Learn session we will cover what the true options are, what needs to be decided now and what decisions can wait for later.
Nordicmind is running this session in cooperation with SUSE, so we will of course also address what SUSE has to offer for CentOS users. And that is something which is is really worth your time: We believe that you know what enterprise Linux is best for your workloads. With SUSE’s solution, you can actually use the Linux OS you want and be compliant, secured and supported.
What does CentOS end-of-life mean in practice – when do I need to make decisions?
What is the way to get support and updates for CentOS environment after June 2024?
Is it mandatory to migrate to another Linux operating system in order to keep my systems secure?
To what level of costs do I need to be prepared for?
How to get your CentOS supported until June 2028 by SUSE?
